Poster Collection 1
My relationship with 3D software (and personal computers) goes way back—to my teenage version of myself hunched over a 586 with 8 MB of RAM and an 850 MB Seagate hard drive! Because of all these limitations, heavier software like 3D Studio had to be launched through DOS command line, and anything more sophisticated would take ages to render.
When I joined the Oculus (now Meta Quest) Design team in 2019, I leaned into the opportunity to dust off my 3D skills—picking up Blender as the tool of choice (it was free!) and diving into daily tutorials and explorations.
These posters are a snapshot of the process (of learning)—countless frustrating hours of modeling, chasing light, and figuring out materials. They represent moments of insight—a lighting setup that finally worked, or a modeling tutorial that evolved into something entirely different, but still felt right to my eyes.
